This PS4 is rainbow stylin’
A colourful one-of-a-kind PS4 is being auctioned by Swedish retailer Webhallen to celebrate the start of Stockholm Pride Festival.
The company has dubbed its version of Sony’s console the GayStation. It does look very gay indeed, sporting a rainbow flag colour scheme and prominent heart design.
Webhallen said: “For many young people play can become a refuge to escape taunts, or worse, in real life. We gamers in heart and mind are keen that as many as possible have the opportunity to feel welcome and enjoy the world’s largest and fastest growing interest.”
The auction runs until August 3 on Tradera, a Swedish auction site acquired by eBay in 2006.
Money raised from the console’s sale will be used by the Swedish Federation for Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights reports CVG.
Bidding currently stands at 18900 krona, which is about 1630 British pounds, 2760 US dollars or 2055 euros.
The proud winner will nab themselves a 500GB GayStation PS4, Dualshock 4 controller, their choice of four games, a Dualshock charging cable, mono-headset and a two-metre HDMI cable.
