ubisoft-preorders-main

From Paris to the Himalayas, it’s around the world in slightly more than 80 days for these Steam pre-orders.

Two of this year’s most anticipated games are now available to pre-purchase for PC.

Ubisoft will release the PC versions of Far Cry 4 on November 18 and Assassin’s Creed Unity on October 28.

Both these open-world action fests will set eager gamers back £49.99.

New protagonists and locales are introduced in Far Cry 4 and Assassin’s Creed Unity. The former stars Nepali freedom fighter Ajay Ghale and is set in the fictional Himalayan region of Kyrat, while the latter sweeps through history to Arno Dorian’s adventures during the French Revolution.

Gold editions of Far Cry 4 and Assassin’s Creed Unity are also up for pre-order at a hefty £64.99. The bundles include unlockable extras and season passes.

Far Cry Gold‘s limited edition DLC comes in the form of Hurk’s Redemption, which adds three single-player missions and a harpoon gun dubbed The Impaler. Good job whales haven’t been up mountains since the Great Flood.

Assassin’s Creed Unity Gold adds a Royal Arsenal Pack, Athos Duel Shirt, Black Musketeer Breeches and Pappenheimer Rapier for that authentic Alexandre Dumas chic. The pièce de résistance is a bonus mission titled ‘The Chemical Revolution’. Zut alors!

Far Cry 4 generated controversy when Ubisoft unveiled its box art earlier this year to accusations of racial prejudice. Assassin’s Creed Unity was criticised over a lack of playable female characters following its announcement at June’s E3.
